Diaries of a journey to paris

This video documents our cultural travel to Paris in 2016. This trip encouraged us to focus on the details & to see the people that think they are invisible. We focused on getting to know the revolutionary crowd & the kids from barrio St. Denis. We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it. 

Orquesta Típica YucalPetén

Founded in 1942, the orchestra has 45 members and three soloists, creating a robust musical sound complete with colorful, traditional dances. The orchestra knows more than 800 songs, which they perform almost every night in the parks throughout Mérida's historic centro. The music "la jarana" comes from the indigenous pueblos of Yucatán. "La Vaquería," is a danced created to celebrate beef harvests and show off the traditional hand-embroidered dresses, called "huipiles." This video was filmed in April 2017 and features the orchestra in an informal practice--a rare moment out of their traditional all-white dress. 

Travel with Mexico Tropical

We collaborated with the indie travel agency Mexico Tropical to create a video showcasing their tours. We visited the pueblo mágico, Izámal; the beaches of Tulum on the Caribbean Sea; and the Mayan archaeological site Cobá. The video explores the places in southern Mexico where travelers go to explore & reflect.
